let’s start this off with the less fun and less important matches. wins 30, 31, and 32 came by forfeit. vicgar, despite us having a tie score, quit on me after i used one of my normal blocking words “ae.” breanna, from victory five, decided to challenge me and it was just unlucky. i got two blanks and an s and used all seven tiles to hit a “seizing” and just kept the pressure on so tight that she understandably resigned. i don’t think she’s going to try again, unfortunately. manda resigned on me in what was turing out to be an exciting game. it’s analogous to getting blue balls really. just, you know, it’s for a game of words with friends.

now to the fun part. i’ve never beaten this girl erica who found my user name on the dating website okcupid.com. i gave myself one more chance to beat her after failing twice. i studied my last two games with her and i decided to go with the phone booth strategy. during our last matches, she confided with me that whilst playing the word “deformer,” she was singing the song “informer” by 90’s canadian hip hop artist snow. from then on, i jokingly call her miss nadian making her full name erica nadian which sort of sounds like canadian. there really isn’t any word jokes you can make with erica the way you can with cody (pendant) or justin (bread, toxicated, time) or jenna (side, ration). anyway, with the phone booth strategy, i let her know that i was going to block her canadianess in so her people can’t sneak into my country and steal my job… my job well done. that’s funny on so many levels. heh. i also took note that she found me on a dating website. obviously she’s madly in lust with me so i decided to flirt with her. i told her that i loeb her, i lisa loeb her (credit by the by to my good friend melissa). erica then started reciting lyrics from lisa loeb’s “stay” and i knew i had her hooked. like a tour guide, i lead her on by letting her take control and the lead. i loaded the word “lowed” up after making sure the s’s and blanks were either used or in my possession so she couldn’t do to me what i was going to do to her. she playfully played “hah” and i imagined her doing a silly fake giggle to a genius joke i had just told that she probably didn’t get. i then licked my lips and made my move, interlocking hands with her and applying my kiss of death. zero tiles remaining, the q conspicuously yet to be played, i turned “lowed” into a seven tile usage of “narrows/slowed” and won the game. yeah erica, that just happened, i like my pancakes with blue cheese.

six games finished today. this may take awhile. as always, words with friends user name is ‘roenn’.

game one was another victory over your spell, the second in two days. i was racing to beat him/her yesterday so i could make a joke about how i win everyday and twice on sundays against spell but i was eight minutes off.

game two was a win over some girl named karen. she’s apparently pregnant and it was really hard for me not to say i broke her like water. i did though. i mean, i did ‘broke her like water’ but didn’t actually say it. i said it now though. hm, broke her kind of sounds like broker. i think there’s a joke in there somewhere. it’s interesting to me that i beat a pregnant girl on the same day that this wwe woman wrestler kharma revealed today on television that she’s legitimately pregnant and will be gone for a year.

game three was a win over this girl named cally. i was chatting with her and i noticed she’d say things like gosh, darn and friggin’. as a result, i decided to play the dirtiest words i could possibly use. i used ‘deuce’ which i don’t think she’d really get as immature. i then played ‘tit’ and like, she just stopped talking and resigned. it was kind of funny actually. i have to find ways to keep this game interesting and that was one of them.

game four was a win against my beer pong partner david. i scored 584 on him which i think might be a record high since i’ve started counting. i should construct an average by now.

game five was actually a loss, my first against a tumblr opponent and also, my first loss against another guy. i kept trying to distance myself from flip (http://wilberttorres.tumblr.com/) but he kept hanging on slightly behind me. my last four letters worried me because three of them were vowels. i had to use l, i, a, and o to shut this game down but i couldn’t. i had to settle for three out of four and it was my downfall. the ‘o’ i didn’t use was used against me and just stares back at me while flip’s “bid” made him win by exactly one point. 406-405. even though i lost, i loved it. that’s what words with friends is all about.

the final game of the day was a win over my other tumblr friend, sam (http://kingsamantha.tumblr.com/). if you recall, myself and herself put on a wager that the loser would have to take a picture with a sign that stated they lost to the winner. i’m waiting for my picture sam! i might even make it my wallpaper or possibly even my hanukkah card!

i had a busy day today as i had to go wrestle in san jose in an eight man elimination tag. as luck would have it, i forgot to put a disc in my camera but fortunately, my cameraman was able to capture my match with his camera phone so now i wait. i was able to finish up some words with friends matches today so let’s get to that. my head is kind of hurting so i’ll spoil you now- i’m not going to be funny or interesting in this post.

i got two wins. the first one was over “your spell” and the second one was over “tunnel.” both of these people didn’t really talk to me but i assume they’re tumblr related opponents. i had this weird feeling during both of these matches that they were toying with me but i started passing them up and eventually won. these victories aren’t as fun unless these people have stories. maybe i should make some up sometime?

two of my favourite opponents represent today’s update. first, a win against my friend helen. i talked to her about speed games and she was down to have one. it’s funny because i usually have these speed games with people and i end up never talking to them again after. it’s like, a one off game. there’s no breakfast in the morning. i won’t call her in two days. i won’t consider taking her to go see a katherine heigl movie. fortunately, me and helen were friends before the speed game so doing a speed game now is completely ok. we’re like, friends with words with benefits.

now this loss i had next really bothered me. doodles is a good friend of mine and is somewhat competitive with me. it did take her 13 games to finally beat me but still, fun competition. this game though, she hit two bingos on me! bingos sounds weird. i’ll go back to saying she used all seven of her tiles on me twice! normally that isn’t a bad thing and the first one was believable. she got me with an “eductor.” the second one is the one that makes me think she’s chinese because she’s raising a red flag here. her second seven tile blow was “oeillade.” yeah, i had to look it up too! apparently it’s some french word. i just don’t think she came up with that herself. oh and yeah, i noticed i used the chinese line about a french word. i think she’s totally cheating on me! i guess i just don’t see the point in cheating. like, just break up with me and you can play words with whoever you want. er, i think i went a bit far there but yeah, i almost want to stop playing her. this especially considering our newest game has her hitting two bingos again. whatever. two thirds of my losses are now from doodles. she makes me want to shower after playing her.

add two more to the total wins. as always, my words with friends user name is “roenn” and i’m always game. heh. that “always game” line is stupid. i need to change it up.

win 19 came over this girl i met at a bowling alley, courtney (doll…). she saw me playing in between games and threw down the challenge and we’ve been playing ever since. this game, she opened up with the 7 tile “hangars” and i responded with the 7 tile “slotting.” she was in control the majourity of the match but you stay in cruise control too long, you bomb, like speed 2 cruise control, the movie. i know, i regretted it as soon as i typed it. nobody knows what i’m talking about!

win 20 is an interesting story. anyone currently playing knows about the lady gaga word of the day contest. today’s word was “dance.” my opponent, cousin raquel (rock…), used all seven of her tiles to spell “healers” and took a good early lead. the dilemma came up- i have the letters to play “dance” but i’d be passing up the opportunity to take the now available triple word score. i stared at my forearm and decided that it was a wrist i’m willing to take. heh.

the problem is though, nothing came up. no form for me to fill out. no way to tell lady gaga that i totally did it. i stared at my forearm and realized that it was all in vein. heh. i make forearm jokes now but i was really freaking out. i don’t want to lose again! i was behind the entire game, seven tiles left, and i hit it. all seven tiles to spell “strander” which i used as a blackjack to hit her over the head with to win by a underhanded 21 points.

so today, four more victories… and i’ve got stories! since i’m formatting this different, i’ll let y’all know now that my words with friends user name is “roenn” and i’m always game.

first up, i took this girl natalya on in a speed game. she posted the challenge on facebook and i told her that her phone was ringing because i’m calling her out. i built a seven letter ‘roadway’ and she kept fighting. i told her that i’m surprised she didn’t resign to which this conversation happened:

great, right? she said she’s tough and i said i’m glad she’s tough because that’s my second favourite kind of cookie after oatmeal raisin. that’s so genius! anyway, despite a neat play where she turned “just” into “justice,” i defeated her and got the almost inevitable speech from her where she depressingly thinks she’s not capable of beating me.

my next win was over this australian chick, sam. oddly enough, she’s a huge limp bizkit fan. what a dork chop, right? heh. actually no, she’s a harry potter fan and she decided to challenge me after reading one of my tumblr posts. she’s my only follower and one of only four people i’m currently following (http://kingsamantha.tumblr.com/). i haven’t really publicized this thing to my friends so yeah, stuff. so i beat her pretty bad but get this- our next match we have a bet going on. the loser has to take a picture with a sign that says they lost to the other player. that’s awesome, right? i’ll have photos of my victories and photos of my victims!

my next win was over a friend of mine that i actually know in person, nikki. she’s totally never going to beat me but we have our little conversations about potentially going to warped tour and whatever else. heh. the thing is though, she resigned just before the game was going to end. let me finish the game! i’m trying to figure out my average and i can’t be throwing games in before they end! gr.

i racked up a pair of victories today. one over my cousin raquel (rock…) and a close one over that chick that thinks she’s awesome that ended up being my third victory (bcbat…). sometimes it’s better not to know their names. you don’t want to get too close. she seemed kind of depressed that she almost had the win, considering she was winning nearly the entire game. it was an eleven point game and i only won because i used up all of my tiles before she did. it helped that i used the q last second in a double letter and double word score situation. it makes me feel like a horror villain that you think you’ve vanquished but then comes out to kill you whilst you’re in heavy breathing mode.

today is my 28th birthday. i avoided and ignored everyone. i didn’t even play any words with friends. i’ll help you celebrate your birthday and get near duis for it but i want my alone time for my birthday. i did notice my phone blowing up with facebook happy birthday wishes. it’s sad, a 1/4th of them were racist, anti-semetic, or alluded to me being gay. these are the friends i surround myself with. hrmph.

anyway, i just wanted the day to end. i don’t remember when my birthdays were ever fun.

i’m back with three victories. my business only australian chick valen challenged me to yet another speed game and i beat her pretty bad for my tenth victory. she made a valen-ient last minute effort playing all seven of her tiles for ‘anatomy’ but it was too late. i think our relationship is over although i feel like i should keep her around since she’s the first person i did speed with. heh.

win eleven came by forfeit from some dude that claimed to be ‘the bomb.’ when i got the triple word score, i made him tap like water… tap water! getting a triple word score is the new haymaker… that makes people tap out?

the last victory of the day came against tumper who was both competitive and defensive early on. eventually he started to fall apart in the later rounds, possibly from lack of cardio. i was able to knock him out and punch in another one for the win column.

i did nothing today. i was supposed to call the people to do the trial tomorrow during my birthday but i was just lazy. i played tons of poker. i won nothing. i learned a lot. i’m seeing patterns.

i watched raw where r-truth pulled off what would probably be my text message noise if the iphone could make personalized text message noises:

good guy cena expressed to his new found enemy r-truth, “we used to be cool man.”

r-truth replies, “cool? used to is a rooster from brewster! you don’t know nothing about cool and you don’t know a damn thing about me! it’s about you, you see, these people here make sure that it’s all about john cena. i gotta go get the new john cena t-shirt! i gotta get the john cena wristbands! when we gonna go watch the new john cena movie? I WANT MY SON BACK!”

so genius. he plays a convincing crazy with his random “used to is a rooster from brewster” line and then after all of his babbling, he just says, “I WANT MY SON BACK!” so geninus. he hasn’t even established he has a son! when heels can justify why they’re bad, it’s perfect.

and that’s how i spent my last day as a twenty seven year old. roenn wasn’t built in a day!

normally i’d blame another loss to my macho madness but sometimes you have a kryptonite. i left my words with friends user name on my okcupid dating profile (http://www.okcupid.com/profile/roenn_your_life) and this girl, erica, decided to challenge me. she already beat me once before i started counting and today, whilst counting, she beat me again. i have to figure out why i am 0-2 against this girl. i even got the q, the z, and the j in this game and even used all of my tiles once and still, failure.

i told her i’d study our previous games and i’d challenge her next week one final time. i mean, no use playing her anymore if i can’t strike a pose a challenge. yeah, i know i said strike a pose a challenge. i need to defeat her. she’s making me not make sense!

i’m up early to jog and i made the creek my bitch. heh. i really had to run off all the horrible things i was putting in my body especially since next week, i have to go wrestle in san jose.

i spent the day getting reacquainted with my other job, internet poker. i took a couple weeks off but i’m back and getting better. i almost made it in the money a couple times but the big blinds keep sneaking up on me. i have to focus a bit more. i’m always multi-tasking. i need to focus on my job!

i also got up and had my car washed. this local kid committed suicide and some of my facebook friends (http://www.facebook.com/roennboney) were posting about the car wash to help pay for funeral costs. i may have met him once so i thought i’d for go support. i realize i put “for go” instead of “go for.” my yellow volkswagen beetle needed a cleaning anyway, especially since my cousin borrowed my car due to his kids wanting to ride around in the coolest looking car ever. i say this like they dirtied the outside of my car. heh.

my macho madness has unfortunately taken a toll on my words with friends game. i got my first loss since counting and it was to doodles. we were having a good phone booth style match and i was carrying the q in hopes to trade it in last minute so the end of the game would subtract her ten and add ten to me. out of nowhere, she uses all her tiles to spell “preelect” and it snowballed into a victory for her. i did the q move but by then, it wasn’t a close game anymore.

9-1. too bad you can’t get draws anymore because i’d totally go for a 9-1-1 record at this point. i can’t believe i lost to doodles. i love her and all but i thought i could call her whenever i want because yeah, i thought i had her number. ) :

today was more me eating and being bummed out over macho man’s death. it bothers me that it bothers me. by the way, the chicken pot pies at kfc suck. the crust is the best part and like, there are no sides or bottom to it. it’s just a tin with a top and pot pie insides.

i got productive enough to finish up some internet surveys which are another source of my income. sadly, i’m considering spending my 28th birthday doing a trial thing for some product or something? it’d be better for me to do that than dwell on being 28 and unfocused. i think?

wow, wait, this is a saturday?! alright, i’ll be more dangerous when i’m twenty eight. may 24th is so close.

i was hoping to only win one game today so i could say i was a soda because i’m 7 up but with three victories, i’m currently at 9-0. i ended up beating local cutie, brooke (9ers…). i usually have close games with her but this one, i felt i needed to smash her since i’m keeping count now. even if i might have a little crush on you, i have to crush you. eight was a victory over the opponent that i have the most competitive games with, helen. you can’t give her an inch at all! we were only 30 points apart.

my ninth win came way of my good friend doodles. i met her by going to the wwf facebook group and said that in words with friends, every girl i play i have broke like water. i also said that i could make pregnancy jokes because some of my best friends are pregnant. anyway, it tooks her 13 tries but she eventually was able to beat me. today though, not happening.

whew. i started the day off by running the creek. it’s so amazing to just, get a nice workout.

and then i got home to find a bazillion texts informing me that professional wrestler macho man randy savage passed away. as a huge wrestling fan, i just got totally bummed out. he was part of my childhood! i then thought about how he wouldn’t be able to make a hall of fame speech or make an appearance in front of wwe fans and just, yeah, it bummed me out. as my paying homage to him, i snapped into some slim jims. i feel like one of those girls that really likes a song and tries to explain to someone why she likes the song but the other person can’t quite understand because they haven’t had the same experiences to get them to understand. i feel like a guy trying to explain his theory about girls that likes songs but can’t get other people to feel the feelings she feels from the song. i just want to listen to pomp and circumstances right now. that or the silly wedding song the wwe plays.

i later headed over to cody pendant’s house to hang out a bit before we all took off later that day to do his whole bachelor party thing. as soon as i got there, he and two other guys had to step out to go buy some supplies so i stayed and hung out with the ladies. i tried to get into it but i was just not there at all today. after waiting a couple hours, i ended up leaving to go buy some chinese food. i just pigged out and eventually cancelled my appearance to the bachelor party. i would have been depressing to be around. also too, the bachelor party was a two night affair in the woods with four wheeling and what not. that totally wouldn’t have been a thing i’d be into. my iphone has to be charged daily!

anyway, i spent the friday night stuffing myself with food and listening to podcasts of people reminisce about macho man randy savage. i probably should have sucked it up and went out with the boys but this is me. i’m weird like that.

you know what? six to be me because yes, i won yet another game and i am now 6-0. i beat some chick from south florida in what turned into a speed game. funny thing is her user name was prefixed with a “sfla” and i incorrectly guessed it either meant “san francisco los angeles” and “six flags los angeles.” how do you get south florida from sfla anyway?!
